Overview

Folks seem to love it here and I am happy to share the beauty of the river bank with visitors. Daily kayakers, or floaters may be coming through to use the ramp, so find your privacy. Spacing could become limited due to water levels and tents previously rented. Spaces are by the Collins river and no lighting or electricity is provided. Small fire pit fires are permitted and permission for a bonfire for groups can be arranged with advance notice. TWRA fishing licenses are required if fishing. Swimming is allowed and tie out floats are available to use for free. Grill is available. General store on top of the hill carries some refreshments and amenities campers may need. Insect repellant is advised and with NO LIFEGUARD on duty, young children are advised to wear life jackets near or in the river. All trash is expected to be picked up and site left as it was found. Persons exhibiting violence, unruly intoxication or property destruction will be required to leave with no refund issued.

Choose your spot down by the Collins river bank. River conditions can prohibit camping at times due to rains that increase flooding. camping will be canceled for your safety if occurs.You must provide your own tents. A portable camping potty is provided w/tent. May have to be shared with other campers. Non private shower water tank is available for public use. Spaces are by the Collins river and no lights or electricity is provided. Small fire pit fires are permitted and permission for a bonfire for groups can be arranged with advance notice. A 4x4 can get to and from river area easily, but other vehicles will need to park by the store uphill and MAD MUSKY staff will take you and your gear downhill to set up or break camp.
